Cape lookout State Park: A 1/4 mile self-guided nature trail begins near the registration booth. A detailed guide is available at the booth. The trail contains nearly 16 stations showing typical coastal rain forest vegetation. The cape trail, a 2 1/2 mile trek to the tip of Cape Lookout leads through a strand of sitka spruce. At the viewpoint one can see a panoramic view from Tillamook Head, 42 miles north, to Cape Foulweather, 39 miles south.
