Florence is a great destination on the Oregon Coast. This seaside city,
bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Siuslaw River, is rich in early
Oregon Coast history. Visitors can experience the history by touring the
Siuslaw Pioneer Musuem, or by visiting Olt Town, a distinctive part of early
Florence now restored to an area of unique shopping, galleries, restaurants,
RV Parks, State Parks, Vacation Rentals.............
Florence is also a modern, bustling city that offers many ways for visitors to
enjoy its famous beaches and many activities. Horseback riding on the beach
is available as are seaplane rides. And, there is something to be said for
simply strolling along the Pacific Ocean at the south jetty on a beautiful
summer's day.
