Up Highway 101 you can hike from Oswald West State Park to a beach called 'Short Sand'.
The old timers called this place Smugglers Cove.
It is also called Oswald West State Park.
Hiking Trails in this area lead to Cape Falcon, Neahkahnie Falls & up to the top of Neahkahnie
mountain.

At Oswald West State Park there are 2 trails down to this cove area.
the one to the south serves the overnight camping area.
The north trail has a river you follow to the beach.
These trails are well surfaced and easy to travel for all ages.
Bring your swim suits. There is a perfect place to body & board surf at this beach.
Also a pond for youngsters to go wading in.
There are other trails twords the north that take off in many directions. I will have more on these
trails later as I have time to take these paths.
