The Tillamook Head Lighthouse is located 1-1/4 miles off Tillamook Head (Hiking Trail). Constructed in 1881, it served as a beacon warning for the mouth of the Columbia River until it was decommissioned in 1957. Today the Lighthouse is a National Historic Monument and is used as a Columbarium. It is also a Federally protected Wildlife Refuge for nesting Murres & Cormorants.
Tillamook Head Lighthouse is located on the North Oregon Coast and can be seen from the coastal towns of Seaside & Cannon Beach.
